BBC News has a feature about Global Climate Change and its devastating effect on the village of Shishmaref on an island at the edge of the Arctic Circle. Shishmaref (and many other villages in Alaska) have been hit by tremendous storms in the past few days. This BBC feature lays out the threat to Shishmaref from the rising sea, and also provides links to in-depth animated guides and teaching materials about global change, greenhouse effect, carbon cycle, and feedback effects.
