First entry with satellite phone

My journey is 3 days away, my satellite phone, laptop computer and digital camera have arrived so I am practicing loading a journal using my satellite phone and laptop. So far, the most frustrating thing, is that I get disconnected from the satellites.

I have been told that I may have a lot of trouble getting satellite connections with as far North as I am going so we will see. I am actually going to be e-mailing my journals and photos to Ben at Arcus who will post them into my journal for all of you to read.

I had better go so that I can get packing! Look for another entry tomorrow with attempts at loading a photo via satellite phone!!
