We're off!!

Well, we have officially begun the adventure of a lifetime. I can't believe it is here. I feel like I have been preparing for this forever. I am so lucky I don't have to wait until summer!!

Last night I finished packing, so that I could be at the airport in time for my 10:00 flight from Milwaukee. Here is a picture of the plane where it all began:

From Milwaukee, I went to Pittsburgh, PA and immediately caught another flight to Albany, NY. I couldn't have asked for a better day for traveling. Beautiful, bright, clear skies the whole trip!

Travel took up most of the day, although I did go to the store to get some food, water (and yes, soda) for the next part of the trip. I had to do this because, remember, I will be traveling on a herc-130, where there is no food or drink supplied (and yes, kids, there IS a honeybucket for a bathroom:)). I had to do it tonight because the store will be closed when I leave tomorrow, since I have to leave the hotel at 4:50 A.M.!!!! Do I even BREATHE at that time of the day?!?!?! I guess I will soon find out....
