Olivia,

Toolik Lake is in North Central Alaska about 150 miles south of the Prudhoe Bay and Deadhorse Alaska, which are located on the arctic ocean.

It is north of the Arctic Circle, so the days are 24 hours long this time of year (near the summer solstice - june 21).

If you copy/paste the following link, you will see a mpa of northern Alaska. Toolik Lake would be about half way between Deadhorse and Wiseman.
