as you know, the perma frost is getting deeper into the ground, my question is how far is it into the ground, and how thick is the perma frost |

I sat by 2 geologists at lunch today and asked them that question. The active layer, on top of the permafrost, ranges from about a foot to about 30 inches. Scientists think the permafrost may go down 1,500 to 2,000 feet! Mrs. Bejin |
