June 1, 2004 - The Countdown begins

Well, I finally know when I will be leaving for Barrow. June 25 is the official date. Now that it actually IS June, if feels very close! Only 24 days! It's kind of like waiting for Christmas.
I am busy getting my equipment ready, sending out notices to everyone that I know (and even people that I don't) about my trip and making sure that my husband knows how to do all of "my jobs" while I am gone. Smile

My students are getting ready, too. Developing a research question for me to try to answer while I am away. I plan to take a bunch of our weather instruments to take weather readings throughout the day while I am in Barrow. I will try to post my readings with my journal entries in case anyone else is interested.
I notice that it is snowing in Barrow today. So much for summer. At least there will be sun (even if it is behind a cloud).
