Hey Amy,

Great hearing about your adventures-- I'm sure you're realizing there are no shortage of them in Russia.

I'd love to hear more about what you are eating and how the people there are receiving your guys. Also, how are the White Nights?

I can't wait to see your photos when you return.

Dear James,
The White Nights are great--although they make it tough to go to sleep. The biggest thing I notice is that I wake up at about 1:00 a.m. and when I look out the window I think it is dawn and I sort of start to wake up. I have to say it is pretty neat to look out and see the sun set at midnight.
One thing I find amazing, is that as I have spoken with people in Zhigansk, winter seems to be their favorite season as they like the darkness and apparently the Northern Lights here are pretty spectacular for a lot of the winter.

Russia and Siberia is a very weloming place. Everyone I have met has been as kind and welcoming beyond my imagination.
