Hi Matt--we arrived in Siberia this morning--you should look at my last journal entry it tells all about it. I am typing this to you at 11:15 PM and it is still perfectly light out even though the sun has just started to set. Gettting used to the constant light is really difficult, I find it really hard to figure out the difference between morning and night timie--I know that might sound wierd, but it is true. Yakutsk, where we are today is the capitol of this territory--it is a pretty big city. It is cold, dusty, and really bright even though it was cloudy today. Our plane trip was really easy, even though we missed our flight from Paris to Moscow we all got there fine. I hope you are reading the journal entries that I posted as there are some questions I hope you can answer.
We will not be testing for another couple of days because we are still getting the equipment prepared. This is a pretty lengthy procedure because a lot of it is really big and heavy and it is difficult to transport it.
I hope you are doing well!! |
