Hi Abbye and Sophie,

There are lots of very nice flowers in the Arctic. I'm not sure if we will be there too early for the flowers to be blooming though. But maybe we'll get lucky and get to see some.

Several of you have some really good questions about the way water moves in the Atlantic Ocean, and about how adding freshwater to the Arctic Ocean can influence the way the ocean circulates. It is kind of difficult to explain in writing, but with a map it is much easier. So maybe ask Ms. Clapp if she can explain it to you using the globe you have in your classroom. Or the next time I visit your school I can explain again.
