OH MY GOSH!!!! I thought the hard work would be over when the science was done. Boy, was I wrong!! Today I started the day by washing some dishes (trying to get a jump on tomorrow’s mouse duties). That was a piece of cake compared to what came next!!!

Andreas, Cort, and Eddie were ready to send some of their equipment to that pallet to be loaded on tomorrow’s plane. Since some people were still collecting some last minute data, they could not use a skidoo to pull the equipment out of the sat camp area and over to where the plane loads. They had to do it by hand, on sled. Now I know what a work mule feels like--- and it is NOT fun!!!

When I finished helping them, I went and found Donna. She needed assistance taking her equipment apart and putting it in boxes. When we were done boxing those up, we put them on a sled and pulled them from the Bally lab to the sat camp weatherport. I truly don’t know how she can know what is what- it just looks like a huge mess of tubes and wires, to me!!

We continued packing boxes for a good part of the day, although we quit early to have a cookout!! Jack was in charge, and he grilled pork tenderloin and tuna steaks. We had spicy potatoes and – guess what- BROWNIES for dessert!! YUM!!!

True to their form, the researchers worked hard today and played hard as well. We ended the day with a round of snow golf. It was very, very cold (about –35 ), but very, very fun.

Doesn't Travis look like he's having a great time golfiing? Check out his frozen eyelashes!!! Too bad he's leaving camp tomorrow.

Things are going to get hectic around here tomorrow…. Another plane is coming and bringing about 10 more people. There is a new group of researchers, and a group of construction workers. They are here to do some remodeling on the big house. Should be interesting!!
