Hi Mrs. Bejin, this in Nick from Ms. Hansen's 6th hour. I was wondering a couple things. How have your first few days been? Have you been eating enough chocolate while you are there? Have you seen any pingos??

Nick, you can never really eat enough chocolate, but I'm managing to find some up here. They are well supplied; I even had a chocolate/caramel cheesecake for dessert tonight. My first few days have been fantastic. I can't believe I can take walks on the tundra, step on a tussock, and touch the permafrost layer. There are a lot of different scientists, and it's very interesting to talk to them. I found out today that I havae to go even further north to see pingos. I'm hoping to take a drive next week to Prude to get a look at pingos along the way. Keep reading my journals, I'm going to write aabout them soon. Rich, who is in charge of the camp, gave me some up to date info on them that I have to read. Mrs. Bejin |
