Amy, I was so happy to be able to read your journals.
Although I just can't figure out what time zone your are in- I bet your body feels like it has been traveling through time. It must be amazing seeing how the earth's movement affects how you view the sun and moon from the top of the world.
Keep the pictures coming.

Hey Pam,
It was great to hear from you. Yes, this adventure has been nothing short of fantstic and we haven't even started the testing yet. Today we took a prop plane to this small village which is by far the most interesting place I have ever seen. I'll let you go to the journal I will post later to read more about it if you ar interested. It is cold too-below zero today with the windchill. I'm slowly getting used to the light situation although the thing I find the most difficult is that I wake up at about 1:00 in the morning and think that it is dawn and it is hard to fall back to sleep. Now that we have travelled further North, it will be even brighter.
Working with the scientists is also incredible. I don't think I have ever been around so many smart people. It makes me so happy that this is my primary teaching subject--it is just so fun.
