Hey Jelena,
Thanks for the question.
Hmmm, good question. Right now, we are cruising up the Bering Straight
to the Chukchi Sea, so we are not even beyond Alaska's North Slope. We
have already run into some pretty extreme ice conditions though so I
have no idea how far North we will make it prior to the ice getting too
thick to proceed. I know two years ago the Healy actually made it all
the way to the Pole (90 degrees). They had a small party, "Top of the
World Baby", and people took turns jumping into the water. Last year,
we only made it to about 82 degrees N latitude before running into
serious ice (8 ft. thick). So, it is all speculation how far we will
actually make it. There is a map, constantly updated, with our cruise
