Hi miss Cie! How are you? It is soo weird to go in the science classroom and see a different teacher there instead of you. So how has it been up there? Cold? Here we have had pretty good weather. Well I have nothing else to say right now so im going to close this up. I hope you stay safe and have a great time.

Hi Samantha,
I am doing great. Remember your first day at YMS when it was hard to
find where you were going and everything was new, confusing and
wonderful. That is what it is like here for me. There is so much going
on my head is swimming. I could use your growing neuron connections )
I am learning so much! I got to see one of the chemicals we used to
practice balancing equations. I think you would like the color - it is
pink. I also saw walrus today - WOW! - it was so cool. I took some
video. The wind is blowing between 30-40 mph so it was really difficult
to hold the camera steady. Just think of it as sea action. Do you
think I could make students seasick from a video? I may have to find
out (LOL).
The people - both scientist and Coast Guard are great. They are so
polite and helpful and the food is good and plentiful. Write soon. |

Ms Cie,
Well im glad to here that you are enjoying yourself and that the people are nice and helpful. I cant believe you got to see a walrus! That is way cool! I wanna see one. Maybe i'll see one in the feature. In science we are having a lot of fun. We are drawling a map of were Nemos dad went and then we are going to place you on the map too! Then Dr. R said for the portfolios (for class) that she wanted us to make a folder just of the stuff we have done with her and that is what she is going to grade us on! So now we dont have to worry about getting all that other stuff. I'm a little relieved that we don't have to do all of the porfolio. Well Ms Cie i have to go do my Math homework so once again im happy yo hear your doing well and i hope the hole getting lost thing gets better to. have fun! please write back soon.

Hi Samantha,
I am glad you are doing mapping. Try going to
http://www.joss.ucar.edu/sbi/catalog_hly-04-02/index.html and select
reports. From there you should be able to get to the teacher log. In
the upper right corner there should be a map button. If you click on
the map button, you will see approximately was the Healy was when I
wrote my journal. |
