Wow! Today was absolutely stunning. I left Fairbanks at 10 am with Ronnie and Ina.

Driving was great, saw a moose (cow) not long into the trip. She was HUGE! Made it through North Pole and Tok before crossing the Top of the World highway with a stop in Chicken. This stretch of road was surrounded by forest fires. It was amazing to drive through Mother Nature at work.

Out of the hundreds of beautiful views, this was the best. We came around a corner and looked through this valley. In background you can see a few small fires and down in the lake, believe it or not, there is a bull moose. It was breathtaking and I am sorry that the photo does not do it justice.

All in all we made it to the Yukon River at 10pm. Took the ferry across to Dawson City, had Chineese for dinner and am ready to crash.
Tomorrow is a long drive to Inuvik and I hope it is as great as today.
