Hi Michelle! Thanks for your question and your interest in this project. I had gotten an email from a group called ARCUS (Arctic Research Consortium of the United States). They were looking for teachers interested in working with scientists out in the field in arctic studies. I thought it would be "cool" (get it-COOL?!?!?), so I filled out the application. It wasn't long before I heard that I was accepted. That was quite an honor and very exciting. I am having a great time and learning tons. I am so glad that there are kids like you out there who are taking an interest and checking the site!! What a great opportunity for you to learn something as well!! Keep checking the journals, and if you have anymore questions please don't hesitate to ask. Thinking warm thoughts- Mrs. Airaudi (P.S- Tell Michael to spread the word to the 8th graders that I said to BEHAVE!!!)
