Summit, Greenland Snow Research (Power Point - 10.5 MB)

Join teacher Nikki Airaudi as she works alongside scientists at the peak of the Greenland ice sheet, studying snow in order to understand the chemistry of the atmosphere over remote snow-covered regions. Nikki is working with a science team led by Jack Dibb from the University of New Hampshire and Nicola Blake from the University of California.

Nikki teaches 8th grade earth science at Kewaskum Middle School in Wisconsin. Through participating in TREC Nikki aims to strengthen the connection between classroom lessons and real world science. She also hopes to expand her students’ knowledge of climate change in an effort to encourage environmental responsibility.
