Stacy Golden Studies Frost-Boil Ecosystems in the Canadian Arctic
11 July - 31 July

Join TREC teacher Stacy Golden as she studies frost-boil ecosystems in a remote field site in the Canadian High Arctic. Stacy will work with Skip Walker and Tako Raynolds from University of Alaska Fairbanks, Bill Gould from the USDA Forest Service, and other team members to gain a better understanding of arctic ecosystem responses to climate change and disturbance.

Stacy teaches 8th grade science at Blatchley Middle School in Sitka, Alaska and has a background in marine biology. Stacy is looking forward to sharing her TREC journey and hopes to inspire students to search for careers in science.
