I am mostly missing you, of course. I will tell you a little about it, but read my journal entries (which have pictures), look at the Album for my part, and you can listen to me talking and showing slides to your class if you click on one of the journals. Basically I am here with a science group from the University of Michigan called the Microwave Geophysics Group. We are using microwave technology as well as other readings to learn about the hydrological (water) cyle and how its changing can affect the Arctic. Right now the Arctic holds a lot of carbon; if it dries out and decays it will put a lot of carbon molecules (greenhouse gases)up into the atmosphere which could increase global warming. You can find out more by looking at the things I told you about above. Some day maybe you'll come up here to do some science research. The scientists and the tundra are both very cool. Mrs. Beji
