Lots of questions at this point. How will this apply in the classroom? I hope the journal will serve as an example of observational note-taking. We'll begin the year with field excursions where the students are asked to record data using all their senses and to make specific notes about those observations. As I go into the field, I'll be doing what I ask them to do...observing to learn.
