Interacting Through TREC

TREC interaction and communications harnesses the power of the Internet and emerging technologies to offer a variety of communications, from real-time internet conferences from the field to public bulletin boards:

Virtual Base Camp - An extension of the TREC Website that includes detailed information about TREC projects, photo albums, teacher's journals and public message boards.

Webinars - Interactive, real-time seminars broadcast live via the World Wide Web.

Arctic Alive! - Real-time conference calls or web conferences from the field that connect the teachers and researchers to the classroom. Learners are transported virtually to unique and remote locations in the Arctic.

Virtual Campfire Chats - Online workshops (webinars) featuring researchers and teachers sharing knowledge on arctic science topics and experiences.

Education Listserve - Virtual education community email list sponsored by ARCUS to facilitate discussions among educators, researchers, and community members.
