The arctic research community is leading efforts to demonstrate and improve the application of geospatial data and tools to arctic research, logistics, and education through a wide variety of collaborations, projects and initiatives.

The purpose of this website is to encourage and catalyze further discussion and planning on arctic Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Geospatial Information Infrastructure (GII) efforts by providing information and a forum for discussion to the international arctic research community.
