SASS Projects Overview

Two NSF Announcements of Opportunity relating to the Synthesis of Arctic System Science (SASS) effort have been released, funding a total of 17 projects.

Nine projects addressing system-level science were funded in 2005 through a Synthesis of Arctic System Science (SASS I) NSF Announcement of Opportunity.

NSF released a second Synthesis of Arctic System Science (SASS II) Announcement of Opportunity with eight projects funded in the Fall of 2006.
