Objective

Intended for middle-school students or higher, the objective of this WebQuest is three-fold:

  • Students will describe the effects of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.
  • Students will use evidence to propose and support a course of action for reducing greenhouse gases.
  • Students will relate the fieldwork of scientists to our knowledge about greenhouse gases

Suggested timeline

It is strongly recommended that the instructor establish checkpoints to assess student progress along the way. Students will take between seven to eleven days to complete the project. If more than four groups are working on the task simultaneously, presentations may take longer than one day.
