Hi Patty, how are you doing? I have been reading about your journal. It sounds fascinating. My granddaughter is in kindergarten at Southworth and I showed her some of your pictures. She would like to ask you a question.

Julie Shovein

What is under the water? Are there any sharks or fish? Thanks.

Brittany.

Hi Brittany,
There are many things under the water. One type of fish is Arctic cod. We are collecting much smaller animals from the water called copepods. The largest copepods we are collecting are about the size of a grain of rice. In the ocean floor mud we find worms and clams. Sometimes we even find seastars.
