How would any of the land uses that you checked above impact the watershed?-

The land uses that we see in Zhigansk probably don’t impact the chemistry of the water that we’re sampling, but upstream impacts from larger cities (such as Yakusk) may.

10. What kinds of plants/trees do you see around the site? Describe them.

In the immediate vicinity of where we sampled from shore, there is very little vegetation (just a bit of some kind of grass). But a bit farther from shore, there are extensive forests of larch (we think).
