Hello Mrs.Cie,
How has your trip been so far? Is it fun to be on such a huge ship? How much sleep do you get each night? If you don't get a whole lot of sleep you must be very tired working all day too! Well school has been ok, I guess but it would be alot cooler if you were still here!

P.S.-will we actually be able to do the virtual thing with you on the T.V. during class?

Hi Nikki,
It is Sunday, May 16th about 9:30 Alaska time. We were flown to the heliocopter yesterday late afternoon. It was a cool ride. We are located just off the Nome coastline while all the science personnel are busy setting up massive amounts of equipment. We are scheduled to depart northward in about 3 hours. I have been getting a good amount of sleep so far. I know that will change will we start taking samples. The motto is sleep when you can...so I am. I hope to be able to talk to you all at least three times. It may take a while to get all the pieces to fit together so be patient.
