1. Brittany, I am not sure if you mean hottest as in temperature or hottest
as in most interesting. Please clarify and I will try to get your
answer.
2. In North America there has been a 3-4 degree C increase in the last 30
years. In other parts of the world, such as Western Greenland, there
has been a decrease in temperature.
3. Surface waves are caused by the wind pushing the water. We are in an
area that is almost completely covered by ice so the wind does not touch
the water. The wind does push the ice, causing it to drift. When we
are in really thick ice, we also can drift.
