ARCSS Program | Science Management Office
The Arctic Research Consortium of the U.S. (ARCUS) serves as the ARCSS Science Management Office (SMO), providing overall coordination and support for ARCSS planning. As the ARCSS SMO, ARCUS facilitates science planning, community input, information dissemination, website development and maintenance, meeting logistics coordination, creation of reports and related products, and provides support to the ARCSS Committee.
Specific support available to the research community to support the ARCSS planning process and community collaboration and planning, as described here, will include:
- Scheduling and facilitation of teleconferences and webconferences, including eTown Meetings and science-focused webseminars
- Website support, including web page creation for Co-oPs, bulletin boards, email groups, shared online workspaces, etc.
- Assistance with coordinating and tracking development of 1-page Co-oP proposals and 5-page prospectuses
- Facilitation of synthesis, communication, and outreach activities for funded projects
