Links to Arctic and Antarctic Lesson Plans and Activities!
The following sites offer some excellent lesson plans for anyone interested in teaching students about the Arctic and/or Antarctic. We will be posting more lesson plans in the future so stay tuned! 1. Links to a variety of lessons from different subject areas developed by past TEA (Teachers Experiencing Antarctica and the Arctic) teachers for primary, middle and high school students. http://tea.armadaproject.org/tea_activities.html 2. Link to an index of lesson plans from Arctic Alive, a distance-learning environment that virtually transports students to unique arctic locations. You can find background information on the program and download lesson plans, activity ideas and student worksheets. http://archive.arcus.org/ArcticAlive/classroom...nt/lessons.html 3. List of resources for teachers including physical science lesson plans from the Department of Energy’s Atmospheric Radiation Measurement (ARM) Program, many of which use real data. http://education.arm.gov/teacherslounge/lessons.stm |
