Russian-American Initiative on Shelf-Land Environments in the Arctic (RAISE)
The Russian-American Initiative on Shelf-Land Environments in the Arctic (RAISE) facilitates collaborative research between Russian and American scientists in order to understand processes and events in terrestrial, shelf, and ocean environments in northern Eurasia in the context of a globally changing environment. Visit the RAISE website by clicking here.
The RAISE Steering Committee was supported by the Arctic System Science (ARCSS) Program of the National Science Foundation to conduct workshops in the US and Russia that led to the development of a science prospectus. The RAISE prospectus can be downloaded from this page or obtained through ARCUS at subscriptions@arcus.org.
