Hey Mr. Steve...
I live in Barrow, Alaska. Top of the World, and as you know, we are a coastal village. Where in Alaska did you get on a boat and onto the ocean? How was the weather? I'd assume it to be freezing, being in Alaska and all. |

Since it the ship was so large, and there was ice along the coast, the ship actually stayed a few miles offshore, and we took a helicopter from the Barrow airport (more specifically, near the FAA building) to the ship. The temperatures were close to freezing, and it seemed to be foggy a lot in Barrow, but when it was sunny, it was really kind of nice. When I got back to Barrow, it acually hit 50 degrees (F) one day! Thanks for the questions, Steve P.S. I really liked visiting the town where you live. I hope you enjoy it too! |
