As we left for the field this morning we encountered numerous examples of the powerful storm that struck Thule last Wednesday. This is the same storm that we weathered in the Green Valley. As mentioned in a previous post, the base went into a storm-lockdown and suffered damage to the water supply. This created an interesting twist for us—water was more of a concern when we returned to civilization than when we were in the field. Fortunately, this did not last long. In these pictures road damage around the base is clearly evident.
