How did you sleep on the ride to Greenland? (If you did). I would think that it would be too bumpy to sleep on the plane. Also, do they have any good food to eat? Or do they feed you like the millitary? laugh.gif They better have hot chocolate. Is it warm enough in your sleeping bag that you don't need to wear your bed to sleep? And have you seen any animals while you've been there? One more question. What is the funnest thing you can do there? (Such as bingo).

I didn't get much sleep on the ride to Greenland. The plane was so loud that we had to wear ear plugs. They did not serve food on the flight. We had to bring our own food. I ate an orange and a granola bar.
At Summit camp, we have lots of hot chocolate. My sleeping bag is warm but I still have to wear a layer or two of clothes and a hat to stay warm. As for animals, we are in such a remote place that there are no animals here. It is so cold and there isn't any food for them. Occasionally a bird will get lost and fly to the camp. However, unless someone catches the bird and brings it inside, it will die quickly in the cold. I have heard stories of people catching a lost bird and then putting it on the C-130 plane back to Kangerlussauq to be set free. There are a lot of fun things to do here. So far, I like riding the snow mobile and learning about all the research we will be doing. Look for more information in my journals about the research.
