How many pounds of suction did you need to extract the cores from the bottom of the lake? Beucase I would imagine that the sediment at the bottom is really tightly packed after millions of years. It's just sedimentary rock, right? Also would coring be that accurate in other places of the world with a more acidic pH? Like the adirondacks? THe acidity of the water must eat away at the sediment.
