Dear Mrs Kaden,

Jan Phillipp, is a pupil from form 2. He has some interesting questions for you.
How many people live there?
How cold is it right now?
How many animals live there?
Can you find plants there?

Sincerely,

Mrs. Bohnhof

Hi Jan,
Ship Position Information at 2005/08/24 21:30:01 UTC
Longitude: 179 46.933 W Latitude: 83 15.779 N

We are in the middle of the Arctic Ocean and there are no people living here. However, at the land that surrounds the Arctic Ocean that is were people live. Inupiat people are the native people. In some areas they are called Eskimos. The have a subsistence lifestyle. They live off the land, go hunting, fishing etc.

-4 C. It is quite cool outside! Wind chill factor

There are many animals that live in the Arctic Ocean-more than in the tropic waters. Whales, seals, Polar bears, fish ... I wrote a small article about polar bears. Read along.

Plants - different types of algae live in the ocean. They are part of the food chain and very important.
