You Saw all of those animals during a BBQ? ohmy.gif I don't think that i have ever seen a gray whale before or that matter a live whale. Aren't jellyfish dead or like they don't have any cells?

Hi Meryl,

Yes, we saw all of them! Of course, we had been sitting there in one place for a few hours, so we had lots of time and people to spot them!

The gray whales were pretty far out. We could see the water spouting as they came to the surface to breath and a little of their body but that's about it! The seal was pretty close to shore though! It was looking right at us, probably wondering what we were doing!

Some of the jellyfish on the beaches are already dead. They don't do well after being dried out! But, yes, jellyfish are living organisms! We saw many of them in the water just near the shore. They are living so they must have cells, right? Maybe you can bring one in and we will look at the jellyfish tissue under the microscope!
