What sort of protocols were there in place in the event of an emergency? Was it all private rescues or was the government of Norway willing to send support?

Greg,
We had to check in with some folks at the university every day by sat phone. If they didn't receive a call, they would try to reach us and if they couldn't they would send a helicopter our from the govenors office to look for us.
