Hi everybody,
The first cruise of the Healy is underway with teacher Steven. They will be at sea for two weeks collecting coring samples and testing equipment for the North Pole Arctic Transect in August.

Hello Ute.
Would there be a spare cabin on the Healy for a teacher from Paeroa? I could supply a bottle of Lemon and Paeroa to go with the gin. The ice for the drinks shouldn't be a problem on this trip I guess!!
Love and best wishes,
Mike. java script:emoticon('')

Hi Mike,
nice to hear from you. I guess New Zealand is now following our Polar trip as well. You are welcome. Invite your teachers and students to ask questions. We will start on August 5 leaving from Dutch Harbor, AK, traveling the Bearing Street, over the North Pole to Tromsoe, Norway, September 30.
Just click http://archive.arcus.org/TREC/VBC/index.php?act=Post&CODE=00&f=21 and you can ask questions regarding our cruise.
Steven is right now on the Healy. Check out his entries.
