How much discharge does the Yukon have every year and how does it compare to the Lena River?

Hi Seth,
The average annual discharge of the Yukon River is about 200 cubic kilometers per year. The Lena River in Siberia on average discharges about 530 cubic kilometers per year. So that makes the Yukon River seem kind of small. But for comparison, the largest river along the East Coast of the United States is the Hudson River, and its annual discharge is less than 20 cubic kilometers per year. So the Yukon is still a huge river! Max |
