Would there be any scientifically feesible way to slow down the melting of the ice so that it's more stable every year, or at this point, is it just sort of inevitable that it will continue to melt in a exponential progression?
I don't know if we have the power actually to change climate change that we might have started. If you mean stop the melting of a specific glacier, perhaps. But these are hugh masses of ice. There have been some folks talking about fertilizing the ocean with iron filing which might increase photosynthesis by phytoplankton and then sequester more carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere. But that is a long shot.
