Today is a travel day. We spent this morning getting ready to travel. Bags were packed, gear was stored, and everyone got ready to leave. As is typical of high Arctic travel, we had a lot of planning, waiting, and getting ready for the flight. Everything went smoothly. We departed Thule early this afternoon for the flight to Kanger, approximately three hours long. We arrived in Kanger, unloaded our gear, and prepared for the night. We have a one day layover. The weather is fabulous. Hopefully, we will be able to do some exploring on our layover tomorrow.

Speaking of the weather, the view from the C-130 on the way to Kanger was astonishing. The Ice Sheet, the fjords, the glaciers, the icebergs, the sea ice, and the marine waters combined to produced an astonishing collection of images. Some of the images could be photographed through the C-130's windows.
