Hi Kevin!

You made it home! I'm sure that a nice hot shower and your bed feel pretty good right now biggrin.gif

Just wanted to thank you for the wonderful journal entries and photos! It was great to travel virtually back to Summit again - what an amazing place!

About those researchers that snow machined across the ice cap…what an incredible adventure! Katie and I were wondering how they got gas? Were there caches along the way or did they haul the barrels on sleds?

Anyway, I wanted to welcome you home and say thanks for sharing your experience!

Janet

Hi Janet. I really enjoyed my expedition. Greenland is one of the most unique places in the world. I'd like to thank ARCUS for letting me experience it.

The UK team traveled with three big sleds which carried many of their supplies. They also had at least two caches located along their route where supplies were waiting for them. I believe they carried some fuel with them and also were able to get fuel at the caches. It takes a lot of planning to pull off a six week trek across the ice sheet.
