Dear Patty,
Dozens of polar bears died unexpectedly in Northern Alaska last summer. The culprit wasn't disease or poachers, it was melting ice. Do you know if there are any dangers to polar bears or any other animals there now ?

Hi Sam, Jessica, and Alison,
We haven't seen any polar bears on our trip so far. Global warming is a serious threat to polar bears and other animals. Many animals risk losing their habitats and food sources.
