TREC Virtual Base Camp _ Arctic Picture of the Day _ Picture #3

Posted by: Max_Holmes Jul 4 2005, 01:51 AM

So, here are a couple pictures of the airplane we took from Inuvik to Yellowknife. Inuvik is a community of about 3,000 and Yellowknife has a population of 20,000. As you can see the airplanes look a little different and have something different in the front. Can you figure out what that front part is, and why airplanes traveling to the Arctic would have them?????

If you think you know the answer, press reply and let us know what you think.....
