Hey crumrine
Hows Alaska? have you seen any interesting birds? nope just kidding my real question is what exactly are you doing there I know that you are looking at plants but is it so see what is causing global warming? or just to see the effects of it? Write back even though my question is dumb and you probably told us. have fun and be safe |

As I understand it we are looking at the affect of fertilization on sub soil carbon. The fertilizer is applied to mimic what would happen if the climate were warmer. They are trying to find out if the carbon that is stored in the permafrost of the arctic will be released if the temperatures are warmer. If the carbon is released as temperatures warm then there may be even more carbon than is in the air right now. Mr. C. |
