Karlo,

Sorry to confuse you. Betula is the scientific name for dwarf birch. This is similar to a birch tree but more like a small bush. This picture shows the birch after it has been in a greenhouse for 25 years. This is several feet taller than the birch in the rest of the tundra which is usually ankle height or so.
