After you banded them why did you let them go??
Hi Olaf,
After the snow geese were banded we let them go to continue their migration. We hope that they will continue to live for years to come. We hope that someone else will recapture one of the birds that we banded and then we can find out where it was and at what time of year they captured the bird. This could provide biologists with valuable information on where and when snow geese migrate.

We hope that someone else will recapture one of the birds that we banded and then we can find out where it was and at what time of year they captured the bird. This could provide biologists with valuable information on where and when snow geese migrate. This could also help determine if there are any changes in the migration patterns of the snow geese. With much global change occuring in the arctic, the possible effects of these climate changes on animals and plants are also important to study.
