Hi Mrs. Nikula!

I was wondering how you think the flora and fauna in the Kuril Islands will compare to the flora and fauna in Washington, such as the types of plants and the types of animals. And maybe the plant density in certain areas of the islands.

I hope you have a great trip!!!!

I have been told that the land cover is very different from the north islands to the south islands. Lots of forests to the south and more grassy areas to the north. I imagine that the areas that are disturbed by volcanic activity or any small villages are very densly covered. I will take pictures of all the places that I visit so that you can see what they are like. Check back soon!
