What did you learn while doing the Snow Geese Project?

Hi Christina,

I learned lots of things by participating in this project! I learned much about Snow Geese, their biology and habits. I also learned about vegetation sampling, soil sampling, how to identify different plants on our transects, how to band and measure a bird, and how to get into and out of a helicopter safely! I'm sure there's lots more that I learned. I tried to write things in my journal entries as I learned them to help readers to understand also. I guess that's the point of the TREC teacher program - to have the teachers learn about the research project and teach others through this website!
